1913 Cocoon Coatby `dedredhed

Used `lockstock for the pose. This is my rendition of a 1913 cocoon coat featured in "The Collection of the Kyoto Costume Institute: Fashion" of which they only show the back of the coat.

I will do more of these if people like it. I'm eyeing Fortuny pleats at the moment.

And you had better appreciate my feathers. Those were a bitch.

oooh so very pretty. I have the Kyoto Costume Inst. books, they're to die for. I drool over them on a regular basis.
This outfit is very Erté (c. 1914 fashion designer extraordinaire

), especially the little bead at the bottom of the dress.
I think that perhaps the collar of the coat should go higher, and be made of mink, instead of striped... Or stripes of mink and rabbit (or something extravagant).

Did you write the text in English and have it translated? (because it doens't make much sense... there are letters missing, and the sentence doesn't work). I could help you with that if you like...

I love this piece. I'm just offering constructive criticism...
