I couldn't get this idea out of my head, so I decided to do it last minute. D:

Basically, I mixed 1730's boy's and 1790's women's fashion to create this dress. It's all one piece, silk taffeta with silk ribbon embroidery with a fichu. As for colors I really don't know, I haven't had much time to decide on a color scheme (really I have a few in mind, but since this is a B&W production I don't think it matters). I also reversed the colors of the coat so it was black with white embroidery, but I really didn't like it that much.

There is the same lace at the hem (petticote) and wrists. At the back, two buttons hold up two little tabs which act like swallowtails. I think they're cute.

Her hair is curled much like in the 1790's, with curlier curls on top and they get looser towards the inside near her neck. On the right side is a pin of flowers and pheasant feathers (it doesn't go all the way around), and the same flowers are pinned to the center front of the dress. Stockings to mid-thigh and black leather slouch boots with a single buckle on the outside ankle.

I included flats since I illustrated the side view so you could see the signature flare of a 1730's coat in the back.

I don't know if this translates well. I wasn't able to go in and get all detailed with the embroidery, and I'm sure it could have been done better, but I love the silhouette.

EDIT: A redingote is an English "riding coat", but said how the French say it "reding gote", and then the French applied it to a specific type of coat, and the English caught wind of the style and adopted it, they kept calling it "redingote".
