One hot summer day, two sisters set out on a journey not knowing where to go. A flip of a coin determined the direction. Heads north, tails south. The quarter said heads.

The punishing sky above, the equally harsh heat rising from below. Of course, an untrained eye would miss the lizard under the cacti or the hiding rabbits under the bridge, but to a human, all they seem is...

As I repost this, merging accounts, I realize the meaning of the word and the bleak graininess of the photo. It's not the best photo in the world, but its meaning can hit home so strangely. When you dont know what to say or do, and there is no one there to help.
