I saw something today that made me go WUT?

People putting restrictions on how much you can like their art on dA. Yeah! Can you believe it?

"Such and such accounts will be blocked. Please limit the amount of favorites to such and such number. Don't be greedy!"

Excuse me?

Now sure, sometimes it does get annoying when people don't say a word to me and fav my entire gallery. But who am I to ask why or worse, say YOU JUST CANNOT DO THAT! I don't think my gallery is worth faving every single piece, but some people do have awesome galleries, and sometimes even I want to fav all their stuff.

So don't worry people. I won't block your account, even if you annoy the hell out of me (which is hardly anyone these days). And I won't tell you to only fav a certain number of things or face being blocked.

Art isn't proprietary. Everyone can be an artist. Your technique is nothing original, trust me, to warrant blocking rules. The whole point of a community is to learn and enjoy art all around.

Now, go buy my costumes! Rawr!

that's nuts !! I know of art appreciators who only can fave stuff because they don't know how to make art themselves so they just fave to encourage ... that's sick ! to stop ppl from being themselves and encouraging artists.

That's crazy! Yikes! Is it because they don't want to take the time in saying thank you? I mean, when they can... or whatever the reason may be. I would never do that. Bring it!

That message must've been from someone who got tired of all the activity messages they kept getting.
Grow up, man. I get people who fav every single page of my 50+ pages comics. Just today I had 131 activity messages alone, but you don't see me complaining. I simply delete them and move on.

-runs off to buy costumes- Um...block people from enjoying...I think people are losing there sense of humor with the idea of becoming more grown up.

I have been seeing a lot of that sort of behavior in a lot of the rooms that I used to frequent. Well... I think I have gone off and rambled again.

Um if they don't want to share their art then maybe they shouldn't be in a sharing open community huh? Well hopefully things could be straightened out a bit I don't know though.

I've seen a lot of people who complain about endless favorites, its so odd to me. I mean, you can just delete all your activity messages in a lump if you think they are just clutter.

Obviously they are just looking for some thing to get bent out of shape over.
